The thing I noticed most on my recent rewatch is how LoK built on a theme in AtLA that I never really paid attention to before. You really have to appreciate what a difference it makes when a show has the same writing team from start to finish.

I didn't realize it was a pattern until recently, but every show I've watched since that let me down has led me to rewatching this series lol. Yeah itвЂ™s been a decade and still hasnвЂ™t happened but prior to 2005 atla didnвЂ™t exist either. On a positive note - thereвЂ™s always the possibility someone will come out with a show of atlas caliber eventually. I have a hard time watching it because he entire time I just think about the ways it could be better. While there are many things I appreciate about Korra it didnвЂ™t quite live up to my expectations or emotionally connect with me. Everyone always says to read the comics but to be honest I find those unbearably bad and not at all in the same league as the show - so they make me angry more than anything. There isnвЂ™t going to be a continuation of the show that lives up to the quality of the original and there isnвЂ™t any other show that lives up to its quality that I can watch instead.
